MAXImum Coverage

Maxi dresses and skirts are a perfect transition piece from Summer to Fall. They are easy to wear and extremely comfortable. They are perfectly breezy for Summer, and offer enough coverage for warmth as we move into Fall. With the various different styles, colors and patterns offered, it isn't hard to find a maxi dress or skirt to please you. There are bright colors that you can pair with cardigans in muted tones, or printed dresses that you could pair with a cute pair of heels and an oversized knitted sweater.

Now that it's getting colder, these long skirts can be paired with t-shirts and long sleeves. You can throw a denim jacket over a maxi dress, or a leather jacket over a cute top and maxi skirt. If you want a more "chill" look, a chunky sweater over a maxi dress is still fashionable, yet extremely comfortable. You can accessorize with long necklaces and if it's a bit chilly outside, cute scarves and knitted circle scarves. To keep yourself even warmer, you can pair your maxi skirt or dress with a pair of boots, or flats.
When wearing a maxi skirt or dress, you have to make sure to keep the proportions right so that your body looks lengthened rather than cut off. Generally, the most flattering proportions is keeping the top of the skirt more toward your natural waist. When it comes to dresses, the most flattering is an empire waist. Whether you're petite, or tall, you can try a maxi skirt or dress and have fun with accessorizing and trying different looks!
